Job Description

Position Summary:

Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. Provides management and outside organizations with financial reports and analysis.





  • Post and process journal entries for insurance operations activity
  • Preparation of monthly general ledger account reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Data Mining and an Understanding of advanced Data Warehousing concepts
  • Researches and prepares trend analysis, performance, forecasting or projection reports on large sets of data from multiple in-house and external sources
  • Assist with preparation of regulatory submissions and compliance
  • Assist with auditor requests
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements



  • Great attention to detail
  • Good understanding of accounting and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • Highly analytical and quantitative, with strong attention to detail with quantitative skills and some experience in data analysis including proficiency in Excel with pivot tables and/or macros
  • Demonstrated customer service focus / superior customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact on a professional level with internal and external personnel
  • Statistical Accounting is a PLUS
  • Results driven with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines
